Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Repoussé or is a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is ornamented or shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief.  The name repoussé is derived from the French pousser, “to push forward.” This ancient technique, which has been used extensively throughout the history of metalworking, achieved widespread popularity in Europe during the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries.

Join us in this two day workshop as we delve into the vast world of repousse to create dimensional designs in metal.  Learn what tools to use to create the designs and how to incorporate this technique into your work.
