Made Together at Meltdown: The Double Rainbow Stack Rings
There is a reason people stop what they are doing when a double rainbow appears.
For many, a double rainbow is a sign of change, alignment, and shared hope. One arc reflects the outer world. What we are building, fixing, and showing up for. The second feels more personal. Intention, resilience, and the quiet strength that comes from not doing things alone.
That feeling showed up in the studio this past Saturday during Make It at Meltdown, when our community gathered to create the Double Rainbow Stack Ring Set.
This class was about more than jewelry. It was about working side by side at the bench. Learning new skills. Laughing through mistakes. Helping each other solve a problem. Each ring came together through repetition and care, from cutting and soldering to shaping and finishing. While the designs followed the same foundation, every set reflected the maker’s own hands and style.
At the present time, when the world feels costly, divided, and uncertain, choosing to slow down and make something with your hands becomes an intentional act. Prices rise, headlines change, and so much feels out of our control. But community is still something we can choose, build, and invest in, and its value stays with us long after the moment has passed.
The Double Rainbow Stack Rings are meant to be worn together or shared. Stacked, mixed, separated, and layered over time. They are a reminder that beauty grows when things are built together. This is something we believe deeply at Meltdown. Creativity has a way of bringing people back to themselves and to each other.
Every set that left the studio carried more than polished silver. It held time, focus, conversation, and the energy of a room full of people choosing to show up and create together.
Sometimes a double rainbow does not mean everything is fixed. It simply means we are still here, and we are building something together.
