When Two Stones Come Together: The Double Turquoise Cuff Experience

The last weekend of March felt like spring settling in. Sunlight, soft colors, and that quiet kind of excitement that comes with making something by hand.

In our Double Turquoise Cuff Bracelet class, students spent the weekend shaping silver and setting stones that felt just as vibrant as the season. Turquoise in shades of blue and green, each one slightly different, each one finding its place in a piece that would soon become personal.

There’s something about working with two stones that changes the process. It asks for balance. Not just in design, but in patience too. Measuring, forming the cuff, carefully setting each stone so they sit in harmony. It’s thoughtful work, but never rushed.

What stood out most was how each bracelet began to take on its own personality. Some leaned bold, others more delicate. Some cuffs felt structured, others a bit more organic. Even with the same materials and guidance, no two pieces looked the same.

Between the making, there were small moments that made the weekend feel special. Stepping outside into the light to see the turquoise catch the sun. Holding a finished cuff against blooming flowers, seeing how the colors came alive. Quiet smiles when a piece finally came together.

By the end of the class, every student left with more than a bracelet. They carried something they had shaped with their own hands, something that reflected their choices, their pace, their eyes.

Two stones, one piece, and a weekend that turned simple materials into something lasting.
