"Make it at Meltdown" Ingot Keepsake Necklace

  • Meltdown Studio 901 Rio Grande Boulevard Northwest Suite E-130 Albuquerque, NM, 87104 United States (map)

A story you can wear, and a memory you will cherish.

This special class is all about transformation - turning scrap silver into something deeply personal, completely custom, and ready to be worn close to the heart.

In this brand new “Make it at Meltdown” class, you’ll melt down sterling silver and re-form it into organic pendant shapes that reflect the raw beauty of the process. Then, you’ll bezel-set a faceted stone of your choice and add your own hand-stamped markings, initials, or patterns.

Whether you’re making a gift for someone special or a piece that tells your own story, this project gives you space to create meaning in metal. Each pendant becomes a wearable talisman - crafted by fire, shaped by intention.

No two pieces are the same. And that’s the point.

No previous jewelry-making experience required, fun for all levels.

Techniques we’ll cover: melting scrap, pouring, shaping, stamping, bezel-setting, soldering, oxidizing, polishing

Materials we’ll use: sterling silver, assorted gemstones, leather lace
