Our Southwest Studio Sessions continue with a special masterclass led by Alvin Yellowhorse, a renowned Navajo silversmith known for his precision and signature stone inlay work.
In this immersive weekend workshop, you’ll create a contemporary corn maiden pendant while learning the techniques that define Alvin’s practice. You’ll begin with silver fabrication and surface design, then explore an organic cuttlefish-inspired texture to build depth and character.
You’ll also learn cobblestone inlay, carefully placing natural stones to create a detailed, dimensional surface. The focus is on patience, control, and understanding how stone and metal work together.
Southwest Studio Sessions are designed for focused, hands-on learning alongside master artists, offering a rare opportunity to build skill and confidence at the bench.
