Double Turquoise Cuff Bracelet: Gal Pals in the Studio

Some things are simply better together, and friendship is at the top of that list. Recently, three friends joined us for our Double Turquoise Cuff Bracelet class, and the studio quickly filled with their laughter, encouragement, and the energy that comes from creating side by side. It was an afternoon of learning, experimenting, and discovering just how meaningful jewelry-making can be when shared with people you love.

The process began with each student choosing their stones and preparing their metal. Hammering, shaping, and refining each cuff took patience, but with every step, the bracelets slowly came to life. At the heart of each design were twin turquoise stones, set with care and attention. Although the steps were the same, the final results told three very different stories. Each bracelet was beautiful in its own way, reflecting the individuality of its maker while also serving as a symbol of the group’s shared experience.

This is the true magic of working with turquoise. Beyond its striking blue-green color, the stone carries centuries of meaning. Known as a stone of protection, friendship, and harmony, turquoise has long been treasured for the way it connects people and balances energy. That symbolism felt especially fitting for a day spent creating with friends. The bracelets became more than accessories; they became reminders of laughter shared, challenges overcome, and time spent together.

Which would you have created? A bold, wide cuff that makes a statement, or something more delicate and refined? That is one of the joys of our workshops: every decision, from the hammer marks to the stone placement, is yours to make. The end result is always personal, always unique, and always worth celebrating.

While these three friends will remember their day each time they put on their bracelets, you do not have to arrive with a group to experience the same joy. Many of our students come on their own, and they leave not just with a piece of handmade jewelry, but with new skills, newfound confidence, and often new connections made in the studio.

Workshops like this remind us that jewelry-making is never just about the finished piece. It is about the process, the creativity, and the community that builds along the way. Whether you join us with a close friend or step into the studio for the first time on your own, you will leave with something more than a bracelet. You will carry with you a story you shaped with your own two hands.
