Our Arrow Cuff Bracelet jewelry making class in Albuquerque, spending a relaxed evening at the bench learning, creating, and getting hands-on with sterling silver and genuine turquoise. From working through the materials to trying new techniques and finally seeing their bracelets on their wrists, the evening was all about enjoying the process of making jewelry.
A Relaxed Evening at the Bench
Students came into the class ready to make something they could actually wear. The Arrow Cuff Bracelet has a simple, slim design, making it a fun project to work on and an easy piece to add to an existing jewelry collection.
With their materials laid out at the workbench, students got settled in and began working through the project. Some moments called for concentration, while others gave everyone a chance to chat, compare progress, and enjoy the evening together.
That mix of learning and simply enjoying time at the bench is one of the things we love most about classes at Meltdown.
Learning by Doing
The Arrow Cuff Bracelet gave students an introduction to soldering and stone setting, allowing them to learn these skills while working toward a finished piece.
Rather than just watching a demonstration, students had the opportunity to work with the materials themselves. They could ask questions, make adjustments, and learn from each step as their bracelets came together.

Adding a Touch of Turquoise

Once the silver and turquoise came together, the project started to feel much more personal. Even though students were working from the same bracelet design, seeing the finished pieces worn on different wrists made each one feel like its own.
And that moment of putting on something you just made is pretty special.
From the Workbench to the Wrist
One of our favorite parts of a jewelry-making class is seeing students wear their finished pieces before they even leave the studio.
The Arrow Cuff was made to be worn and stacked. Its slim profile works beautifully on its own, but it also pairs easily with other bracelets.
The students' finished pieces were a great reminder that a class is about more than simply completing a project. It’s about learning something new, spending time at the bench, and leaving with a piece of jewelry that carries the memory of the experience.
