Lapidary Open Studio: Guided Session
This dedicated lapidary session is designed for students ready to spend focused time at the machine, refining technique and working through their own stone cutting projects with full guidance along the way.
Led by Jim, our lapidary instructor, this small-group, semi-private session offers four hours of hands-on time with direct support as you cut, shape, and polish your stones. Whether you’re continuing a project from class or starting something new, this is an opportunity to deepen your understanding through practice.
With Jim right by your side, you’ll receive individualized feedback and assistance, helping you troubleshoot challenges, improve precision, and build confidence in your process. This is where skills begin to settle in-through repetition, adjustment, and time at the wheel.
This session is intentionally kept small to allow for meaningful instruction and access to equipment.
Open only to students who have previously completed our Weekend Intensive: Introduction to Lapidary.
What to expect:
• Four hours of guided lapidary studio time
• Individualized instruction and support
• Continued skill-building and technique refinement
• Access to all lapidary equipment
Bring your own stones or continue working with materials from previous classes.
