This brand new “Make it at Meltdown” class brings together silversmithing tradition and modern style with the Bandana Slide. Using the hydraulic press, you’ll create a sterling silver ((or copper if you prefer)) concho slide, add custom stamped details, and finish it with a bezel set cabochon stone of your choice. The result is a wearable piece that feels timeless, versatile, and personal.
You’ll also pick your own gorgeous bandana ((included)) by fellow Albuquerque artist Jen Fox, so your slide is ready to wear in this seasonal style. Whether you dress it up for a statement look or keep it casual, this is a piece you’ll reach for again and again.
No previous jewelry-making experience required. Fun and rewarding for all levels.
Techniques we’ll cover: hydraulic press forming, stamping, bezel setting, soldering, finishing, polishing
