Saturday, November 21 | 10:00am–3:00pm
In this Make It at Meltdown class, you’ll create an architectural statement ring in your choice of bronze or sterling silver, finished with a beautiful stone that brings color and light to the design.
You’ll build the ring from individual lengths of metal, carefully shaping and soldering each section to create its open geometric structure. The construction is unexpected and satisfying, with a finished form that feels bold, balanced, and comfortable on the hand.
Why we love this class ✨
This ring makes a statement without feeling heavy. The open construction gives the design strength , while the faceted stone adds just the right amount of color. It’s also an excellent project for developing precision, planning, and soldering skills.
Techniques we’ll cover
Measuring and forming
Geometric construction
Precision soldering
Fabricating a stone setting
Setting a faceted stone
Ring sizing
Oxidizing and polishing
Materials we’ll use
Sterling silver or bronze
Faceted stones in a selection of colors
What to expect
You’ll work step by step to construct the ring, fit it to your size, and give it a polished finish. Choose your metal and stone combination, then decide how to position the setting within the design.
***Previous experience is recommended for this class.
You’ll leave with a substantial geometric ring that feels modern, distinctive, and entirely your own.
