Our all-time favorite class - the spinner ring - is a comfortable sterling silver band with smaller bands that spin around the main band. It’s a fun everyday piece, perfect for fidgeting, staying focused, or simply enjoying jewelry with movement and personality.
In this “Make it at Meltdown” class, you’ll design and create your own custom spinner ring from start to finish. You’ll learn how to shape, texture, stamp, and solder your ring, then finish it with a bright polish or oxidized contrast. Choose from sterling silver, copper, and brass to create a look that feels totally yours.
This class is beginner friendly and a great way to spend a creative day at the bench, whether you come with friends or treat yourself. No previous jewelry making experience required.
Techniques we will cover: texturing, stamping, dapping, soldering, oxidizing, polishing
Materials we will use: sterling silver, copper, brass
What to expect:
• All tools, materials, and safety equipment are provided
• Wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing; long hair should be tied back
• The class is guided step by step with plenty of individual help
• Feel free to bring lunch, snacks, and drinks to keep you going throughout the day
• You will leave with one fully finished sterling silver spinner ring
