Metalsmithing Classes in Albuquerque: Desert Arc Necklace
Our metalsmithing classes in Albuquerque give students the opportunity to learn techniques such as metal forming, stamping, soldering, bezel making, oxidizing, and polishing while creating jewelry by hand. During the Meltdown Mini-Series: Desert Arc Necklace on September 17, students gathered at Meltdown Studio for a relaxed evening of shaping metal, working with gemstones, and exploring their own creative ideas.
The Desert Arc Necklace features a gently curved metal bar accented with colorful gemstones and decorative details. While students worked from the same project design, their finished necklaces reflected different choices in color, detail, and personal style.
A Creative Evening at the Bench
The class photos capture students settling into their work, focusing on small details, and learning through hands-on practice. Some students worked closely with their tools and materials, while others paused to examine their pieces as they took shape.
